IPO Conferences:

Virtual Enterprises can sign up to take their companies public through the process of an IPO and, upon approval by the IVE Board, be listed on the IVE Stock Exchange. The two-minute IPO presentations will be done via distance tech and hosted by IVE. After the IPO conferences students from all over the world can invest in all listed VEs as well as real companies.

To participate in the IPO Conference on November 10, 2009 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (EST) and subsequent Company Trading you will have to:

  1. Sign up your company by sending an email to cwinkler@kbcc.cuny.edu (by October 26, 2009). After your sign up, you will receive a username and password to access your corporate account (http://www.ivefinancial.com/) so that you will be able to submit the IPO Prospectus/Request to the IVE Central Bank. You will also receive the conference call info and link to our online presentation via GoToMeeting.com.
  2. IPO Prospectus/Request submission online (by November 2, 2009). The interface will prompt you to upload your logo and company description/mission, list your products, and balance sheet, as well as indicate a corporate partner and industry that you want to tie your stock to.
  3. IPO Presentation (November 10, 2009 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (EST)): At our IPO event, every Virtual Enterprise will have two minutes to present their company’ business and their financials. The presentations will be done via PowerPoint (three slides max!!) and gotomeeting.com. After your presentation our chairman of the IVE Bank, Mr. Richard Levitt, will assess your company and, hopefully, will approve your IPO request. After his approval your company will immediately be listed on our IVE Ticker (http://www.ive.cuny.edu/).
  4. Company Trading (starting November 13, 2009): After all companies have successfully gone through their IPO, trading will begin and all firms will start buying and selling stock. There will be a competitive event attached to this process. Rules and guidelines will be distributed on November 9th. There will also be a follow up Student Competition as well as a Conference in spring 2010.

If you have any questions regarding this process, or if you want to schedule a training session on how to use the system please contact cwinkler@kbcc.cuny.edu. After his approval your company will immediately be listed on our IVE Ticker (http://www.ive.cuny.edu).
