Faculty Development Webinars
IVE is offering you and your fellow faculty the opportunity to explore the world of Virtual Enterprise (VE) by participating in any (or all) of the following IVE Webinars.
The IVE Webinars are meant to give new and existing faculty an understanding of the tools that support the Virtual Enterprise network and pedagogy. Of course, these sessions are free and don't obligate you in any way.
The training will be done via online presentation software (GotoMeeting.com) and will last approximately 45-60 minutes. At the end of each presentation there will be a Q&A to discuss how you can use the system in your classes/institutions as well as other curriculum related issues. All you need is a computer (PC or Mac), Internet, and a phone (or VoIP setup).
- Introduction to the IVE MarketMaker (www.ivefinancial.com):
This session will go over the basics of the bank interface, ranging from account setup (corporate and student), making payments, transfers, managing payroll, etc. Participants will also learn how to set up your VE website and online store, determine taxes and S&H, apply for a credit card and use it for purchases in the virtual economy.
Date: Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at noon (EST) - 2. VE Curriculum Development Webinar:
This session is for instructors and administrators who are interested in adopting Virtual Enterprise at their institutions, programs or organizations. Participants will be given an overview about various modalities of how VE curriculum can be developed and adopted across various disciplines.
