2013 VE Faculty Development Webinars

IVE is offering you and your fellow faculty the opportunity to learn more about Virtual Enterprise (VE) by participating in any (or all) of the following IVE Webinars.

The IVE Webinars are meant to give new and existing faculty an understanding of the tools that support the Virtual Enterprise network and pedagogy.

The presentations will be given via online presentation software (GotoMeeting.com) and will last approximately 45-60 minutes. At the end of each presentation, there will be a Q&A to discuss how participants can adopt this system in their classes/institutions as well as other curriculum-related issues. All that is required to participate is a computer (PC or Mac), Internet, and a phone (or VoIP setup).

  1. Virtual Enterprise Curriculum Adoption Strategies Webinar

    This webinar is geared toward instructors and administrators who are interested in adopting Virtual Enterprise at their institutions, programs, or organizations. Participants will learn about the numerous ways to implement a Virtual Enterprise curriculum across a range of disciplines.

  2. IVE MarketMaker Overview Webinar (www.ivefinancial.com):

    This webinar will offer a broad overview of the MarketMaker platform and its functions. Participants will learn how to use the bank interface, set up corporate and student accounts, make payments and transfers, manage payroll, set up a VE website and online store, determine taxes and S&H, apply for a credit card, and use the credit for purchases in the virtual economy.

  3. IVE MarketMaker Instructor Interface Webinar

    This webinar is recommended for instructors who have a general understanding of MarketMaker’s functionality, but would like a tutorial on how to manage and keep track of students' Virtual Enterprises via an instructor account. Participants will learn how to use the basic features of the interface – including account setup, corporate account approval, and corporate account funding – as well as more advanced strategies that allow the instructor to simulate financial transactions within the MarketMaker platform.
